Story of the Chevrolet (commonly known as Chevy blazer) begins in 1969. Chevrolet rolled out first K5 blazer to compete with the likes of the Ford Bronco. It’s kind of pickup truck, frame underpinning the blazer fiberglass top installed that could be removed.
Features included air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, heavy duty shocks and springs and an auxiliary battery. Different kind of engines had been installed in four wheel Chevy blazer. Models have been changed with the time passed.
1973 to 1991
From 1973 to 1991, that was second generation of the blazer, k5 blazer. It contained many features like removable convertible top. The early Chevy Blazer 1976 model had capacity for two persons to sleep. It also had a sink, two burners, propane stove, ice box and dinner or tea table. Some versions also contained heaters and refrigerators. Some with additional capacity to accommodate two more people with the bunker.
In 1980 new version of Chevrolet produced for the US military called M1009. As compared to the regular vehicle M1009 designed with special electrical system, front brush got rifle rack and lacked air conditioning.
1983 Chevrolet introduced the smaller and more vulnerable S10 blazer. It was generally known as the baby blazer, didn’t featured with a removable top.
1992 to 1994
Third Generation K5 blazer was introduced in 1992 with a removable roof and a 210 horsepower engine. It was the last model with removable top. A 5.7-liter V8 with 210-horsepower engine was used for the fifth generation K5 blazer.
In 1994 a new 6.5-liter turbocharged diesel V8 engine with 180 horsepower and 360 pound-feet of torque was introduced to join the series.
1995 to 2005
From 1995 forward the Chevy Blazer SUV would be known as the Yukon with another four-entryway body style and inevitably end of the two-entryway variant.

Due to low labor cost, the manufacturing plants of the SUV will be built in Mexico by General Motors. Controversies arouse about the decision to build Autos in Mexico.
